MEET  THE  MCDONOUGH  FAMILY

Jim was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He was saved as a young boy of seven and was educated in private Christian schools through college. After founding a full service financial company in San Jose, California, he took on a marketing position for one of the largest full service financial institutions in America, doing business internationally.. In 1970, he moved to Philadelphia with this company becoming a corporate officer. Three years later he founded several firms that conducted business internationally, primarily with Fortune 500 companies and international financial institutions, in the fields of management and marketing consulting, corporate audio / visual communications (film, television, multi media presentations, show and stage productions), public relations, sales promotion, graphic design, incentive marketing, travel center, tradeshows, special event and meeting planning.

Through the Philadelphia based “Executive Ministry” of Art and Nancy DeMoss, Jim recommitted his life to the Lord in January 1979 and later left the business world in answer to the Lord’s call.

Chris met Jim in Philadelphia (in an elevator lobby !). She worked for Eastern Airlines. They were married in 1973 and she then worked in a variety of administrative and management positions in her husband’s companies for several years. On the same night Jim recommitted his life to the Lord, Chris gave her heart and life to Jesus.

Jim and Chris became active in Christian ministry in 1979 to business executives and political leaders. In 1980, Jim returned to the West Coast as the Personal  Representative to the President of an international ministry organization. There he became involved in planting a Calvary Chapel Church in San Clemente, California; this church was one of a handful of churches who followed John
Wimber into what became the Association of Vineyard Churches in 1982. Another Vineyard was planted in MissionViejo, California; and, during these years, Jim and Chris were ministering renewal to churches on an international basis. The Lord began to impress upon Jim a call to go east, in 1985,  to the Westchester, New York metro area and nations to the east. After a year and a half of independent and prophetic confirmation, Jim moved his family to New York to be a catalyst in seeing 300 churches networked together (renewed or planted) in the Father’s love in Christ, and to minister into the nations to the east.

Churches have been planted and ministries raised up. After several years of emphasis on ministry to the nations, Jim is focusing on expanding the base of the Vineyard Church in Westchester and the “300”.

From the beginning of their call to ministry, the Lord has poured out His love and power through Jim and Chris’ lives in…church renewal; church and missions planting in Europe, Africa, Middle East, and the Far East; prophecy; evangelism;

signs and wonders; preaching and teaching. Jim and Chris have seen thousands saved, healed, delivered, restored, renewed and raised up in the power of the

Father’s love in Christ.

THEIR  CHILDREN…

Ryan, 37, is employed in the graphic arts and printing industry. He returned to New York from California to be with his father in the summer of 1989 ~ a fulfillment of a prophetic word that men connected to the movement of the Spirit John Wimber was leading would see their sons return to them that summer as John’s own son would and did; as well, in fulfillment of Malachi 4:4-6. Ryan and his wife Brett have two children, Molly who is now 5 and Mason 1 !...they live in Patterson, New York.

Jessica, 27, is the Assistant to the General Manager of the restaurant “Café Ruland” at Rockefeller Center in New York City. She married and Englishman, David Bancroft in February 2006. David is now the Worship Leader of the “Liquid” Church in New Jersey. They live in Summit, New Jersey.  Jess, like her dad, has a prophetically confirmed call on her life and heart to see a billion souls

come to know Jesus in this generation.

Meredith, 26, is pursuing a career in the fashion industry, she is a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Meredithiedoodles married a man from  Ireland, Mark Murphy. Mark is in the building trades and wants to expand into developing and owning investment properties. They have one child, Shane, who is 15 months old. Meredith really hears the Lord’s voice in prophecy, word of knowledge and wisdom, revelation. Do you need the Lord’s counsel ? See her !
